Planes come right toward you with landing gear retracting. Background shows other group P-51s taxiing to the runway. Sky above depicts contrails of aircraft assembling for mission on Germany. Description: Print-Oil Painting. Depicts LTC Wayne K. Blickenstaff and CPT William "Wild Bill" Tanner, 350th Fighter Squadron, escorting bombers home. Have not seen the painting. According to Wayne Blickenstaff, an excellent painting. Philips is considered among the great aviation artists.

Description: Print-Oil Painting. Depicts COL Glenn E. Duncan's P-51, LH-X "Dove of Peace" and LH-G, "Lady Gwen" with two other planes from the flight, flying low over the Rhine River town of Kaub. Depicts one of the group's final missions of World War II. An excellent painting.

Description: Print-Oil Painting. Depicts LT. Frank Bouldin, 352nd Fighter Squadron, and his P-51, SX-I, "Dallas Doll" doing a wing over in pursuit of two FW-190s. The FW-190s have seen him and are beginning evasive maneuvers. A flight of B-17s passes under the action.

Description: Print-Oil Painting. Depicts LT. Arthur C. Cundy, 352nd Fighter Squadron, SX-B , "Alabama Rammer Jammer" engaging a BF-109. In background a flight of BF-109s tries to get at a B-17 straggler, while a flight of 352nd Fighter Squadron P-51s begins pursuit. A great painting. (My personal favorite.) Smith ranks up with Taylor and Philips, although he is a relative unknown.

You get a sense of speed as wheels leave the runway. Another terrific painting.
